Charlestown Wharf – Nassau, Bahamas

Charlestown Wharf, an exciting mixed-use development with cruise ship harbourage, meant to be a world-class tourist destination in Nassau, Bahamas.

Dave Jenkins of Energy Smart Home Plans was asked by friend and colleague, architect Andrew Stirling of Plan It Bahamas – Architects & Designers, to create the conceptual design for Charlestown Wharf, an exciting mixed-use development in Nassau, Bahamas.

This hi-profile project is adjacent to the cruise ship harbourage, meant to be a world-class tourist destination. Its also not far from Atlantis Resort which is already a sweet spot for tourism.

Charlestown Wharf will ultimately include a boutique hotel, restaurants, retail, office space and deep-water mooring/dockage that surrounds its own 200+ car parking garage. The unique waterfront setting has been designed to be reminiscent of Pier 39 in San Francisco with a playful but upscale “Rosemary Beach” Style twist on Bahamian architecture.

Charlestown Wharf a world-class destination.

The ambitious (and fun) project begins a twenty-year revitalization program that will ultimately connect 5 miles of a waterfront board-walk. Currently efforts are ongoing to obtain more land surrounding the existing project. More space means more ideas to develop! More tourism is good for everybody.
